My Top 5 of the Week!

1. I FINALLY got my first PSL of the season!!!! ...And it was FANTASTIC!

2. I have been knocking things off my Fall Bucket List left and right! After the second foot injury of the year happened two weeks ago, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do that 5k I wanted to check off my fall bucket list. Well, I couldn't do a 5k, but I was able to do the Alzheimer's walk! Nothing better than raising money for such a good cause! I had 3 very special ladies that were near and dear to my heart that I walked in memory of.

3. This week I have been focusing on Proverbs. I think Proverbs has to be one of my favorite books.  Its definitely one of the best books for guidance! I need lots of that!!!

4. One of my best friends had her beautiful baby this week.  I already love this precious little girl. I can't wait to spoil her!

5. The first bon fire of the season! It was such a beautiful peaceful night.

Book Review: The Longest Ride

The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks

GoodReads Synopsis:

Ira Levinson is in trouble. At ninety-one years old, in poor health and alone in the world, he finds himself stranded on an isolated embankment after a car crash. Suffering multiple injuries, he struggles to retain consciousness until a blurry image materializes and comes into focus beside him: his beloved wife Ruth, who passed away nine years ago. Urging him to hang on, she forces him to remain alert by recounting the stories of their lifetime together – how they met, the precious paintings they collected together, the dark days of WWII and its effect on them and their families. Ira knows that Ruth can’t possibly be in the car with him, but he clings to her words and his memories, reliving the sorrows and everyday joys that defined their marriage.
A few miles away, at a local rodeo, a Wake Forest College senior’s life is about to change. Recovering from a recent break-up, Sophia Danko meets a young cowboy named Luke, who bears little resemblance to the privileged frat boys she has encountered at school. Through Luke, Sophia is introduced to a world in which the stakes of survival and success, ruin and reward -- even life and death – loom large in everyday life. As she and Luke fall in love, Sophia finds herself imagining a future far removed from her plans -- a future that Luke has the power to rewrite . . . if the secret he’s keeping doesn’t destroy it first.
Ira and Ruth. Sophia and Luke. Two couples who have little in common, and who are separated by years and experience. Yet their lives will converge with unexpected poignancy, reminding us all that even the most difficult decisions can yield extraordinary journeys: beyond despair, beyond death, to the farthest reaches of the human heart.

My Thoughts:

I really liked this book, even if it was a little too "fairy tale-ish" for me.  It's a typical Nicholas Sparks book, so, you know, it's a love story that ends with a character dying. (If you are a Sparks reader, you know this isn't a spoiler alert!) I like how diverse the characters were in this book.  That was a little different compared to the other Sparks books I have read. I also watched the movie. As usual, the movie didn't follow the book exactly. I definitely liked the book better. The only reason why I enjoyed the movie was because of Scott Eastwood....especially when he was shirtless! Can I get an Amen, Ladies?

My Fall 2015 Bucket List

Fall is quickly approaching. I am so excited for everything that it entails!!! In order to accomplish everything I want to do this fall, I have compiled a bucket list to fulfill. My goal is to at least check off one thing per week! Here it is in no particular order:

-Get the new an improved PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE from Starbucks!!!!
-Participate in a 5k. (Unfortunately, I can't run since the fractured bone on the bottom of     my foot still  hasn't healed; but, I can walk!)
-Go to a Farmer's Market.
-Make some fall decorations.
-Go to a pumpkin festival.
-Have a fall picnic.
-Bake Pies.
-Hike in a state park.
-Take a fall foliage road trip.
-Go to an Oktoberfest.
-Pick apples. (Maybe I could check 2 off by picking apples and then making pie!)
-Go to a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins, then carve them and roast the seeds!
-Get an apple cider from Tim Horton's....seriously the best! Or make my own mulled apple   cider!
-Have a backyard bonfire.
-Go through a corn maze
-Crochet a blanket. (I don't know how to knit!)
-Make a fall wreath.
-Read a classic. (I don't know why, but every fall I love to pick out a classic I've never read    and read it.)

Have you made a Fall Bucket List? If not, I challenge you to make one! Please message me yours, I'd love to read them!!!

My First FabFitFun Box Unveiling

Have you ever heard of FabFitFun? It's a box that has health, beauty and fitness products in them. They are delivered 4 times a year. I ordered the Summer box a while back and just recently picked it up. The box has a $200 value for $49.99 plus free shipping. (I luckily had a coupon code so I didn't pay full price.) However, the website is offering 10% off at the moment!

When I first opened it up, I found a card on top of the wrapped paper. When I opened the card up, It lists every product in the box, a description of each product, plus the price of each item.

Breaking of the paper!!!!
It didn't look like a whole lot at first, but every time I would pull something out, I kept finding more in the box!

1. Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Spray Moisturizer- (retail: $7.99) I actually use this a lot!!! I love it. It is so convenient to spray all over quickly.  One common misconception is that you just spray it on and go.   I mean, I guess you technically could, but it just feels too weird.  I always rub it in once I spray it all over. Regardless, I find it takes less time than regular body lotion! Plus, It's perfect for summer!

2. Scratch Nail Wraps- (retail: $12) I've never used them, nor heard of them.  I do like nail wraps, so I am excited to try them out! They supposedly last as long as polish. I'm excited to see!

3. Tarte LipSurge LipGloss- (retail: $19) I love Tarte Lipglosses! I haven't tried this shade yet, but I can't wait to try it and feature it on an upcoming Lip Color of the Week post! They are non-sticky, and infused with vitamin E, jojoba oil and flower extract.

4. The Everyday Wireless Speaker-  (retail: $29.99) I could have really used this about a month ago while I was at the beach! This awesome little wireless speaker pairs up to 30 feet! It's also hands free speaker phone and Aux-in & FM radio!!!

5. Inkling Scents Sultry Roll-On Oil Perfume- (retail: $25) Oh my goodness, Y'all, this smells amazing!!!! I LOVE it! It is alcohol-free.  It smells like: creamy sandalwood,  white amber, lotus flower, orchid, Bulgarian rose and vanilla. It also comes with a 15% off coupon code if I want to purchase another one of their 20+ scents!

6. Gorge "I'll Make You Look Amazing" Daily Spray-  (retail: $24.95) At first, I thought this was an Argon type oil spray. It's actually a leave in conditioner! I can't wait to try this!

7. CosmoBody Jump Rope-  (retail: $14) I haven't used a jump rope in years!!! I used to love jumping rope.  Especially with my cousins.  Ames and Annie were the ones to teach me how to double dutch jump rope.  According to the FFF card, you can burn around 150 calories in a 10 minute session!!! Also, they have a workout video for you to view! Can't wait to do this later today!

8. Hello Konjac Cleansing Sponge- (retail: $12) I actually saw this sponge on a vlogger video! It's used by Korean women to gently exfoliate and cleanse pores. It's suppose to be pillow soft.  The video I saw said to make sure you thoroughly rinse the sponge after you use it. Just hang dry.

9. Headspace 3-Month Subscription- (retail: $38.85) This app is guided meditations. Apparently, tons of Celebrities use this! It helps change your mindset and make your day.

10. Wren 14k Gold & Black Sapphire Necklace- ($100) I got the dainty gold horseshoe necklace with the black sapphire. It is super cute!

August Favorites

1. How 'Bout Them Apples Cheek & Lip Color
I bought this a while back on TopHatter. I got a great deal on it! So far, I love using the coral colors on my cheeks.

2. Psssst!  Instant Dry Shampoo
I purchased this from Ulta. I think this works great for a cheap dry shampoo.

3. Octavio Sea salt spray
Whoa! This was awesome!!! I actually have used other beachy like sprays and they didn't work very well in my hair. I have naturally poker straight hair.  I was shocked at how great it made my hair look, and it lasted all day plus the next!!! VERY pleased with this product!!!!

4. Estee Lauder  Double Wear foundation
This is an oldie, but a goodie.  This is the best foundation I have found for super oily skin.  I usually only break it out for special occasions, but I have found myself using it a lot more than usual. I just love how it keeps my face matte and lasts all day long.

5. Sephora Blush and Bronzer
I purchased this while it was on sale a while back and I'm just now starting to use it.  I love the bronzer because it is perfect for my pale skin tone!

6. Crest 3D Gentle White Strips
This has a pro and a con.
Pro: It is actually gentle as it claims.  Usually, when I use Crest White strips, my teeth hurt afterwards for a almost a day. They work really well, but they hurt! You also only wear them for 5 minutes!!! These strips are awesome because I have no pain at all! Yay!!!
Con: I don't feel like they whiten as well as the other Crest strips.  They whiten, just not as well as the other ones do.  Overall, I am pleased!
