Top 5 of the Week

1. This was such a special week! My sister was on spring break from school and we took her with us to the Houston Rodeo! We had an amazing time. This was the baby K's first Rodeo. He had a blast seeing all the animals and watching the rodeo.

2. The K Babes got to go to the zoo with his baby cousin. They were so cute together and had a blast. I think they both enjoyed the aquarium portion the best of all!

3. For my sisters birthday, my cousin and I took her to Painting With A Twist! We had sooo much fun! If you are ever in the Sugarland area, I highly recommend it!!! Our instructor, Kim, was awesome and she made it so much fun!!!

4. Had a relaxing couple of days in Galveston. This was Baby K's first time at the beach!!! He was loving the sand.  This child is definitely a beach baby!!! Totally in his element.  Guess we will have to get him a sand box this spring!

5. We spent a lazy Sunday afternoon turning this oat container into a little toddler activity.  I took the wrapper off of the oats container, used a glue stick to glue the colorful wrapping paper to the container, and cut a slit in the top. I bought cheap cards from the Dollar Tree, so he can take each individual card and try to put them into the container. This is a perfect activity for fine motor development and hand-eye coordination.

Have you ever been to Houston or Galveston?
Ever been to a Painting class?
What did you think about the toddler activity?
Have any fun toddler activity suggestions?

I'd love to hear from you! Drop a comment below.

DIY Poppy Wreath

I went to Hobby Lobby the other day and bought a bunch of supplies to make a wreath. Actually, I bought a TON of supplies! (Flowers were on sale!!!)

I decided to make a poppy and fern wreath.
I first started out with two fern leaves and attached them with floral wire.

Next, I took filler flowers and attached them with floral wire a few inches before each tip of the fern leaves.

Floral wire is thin and easily bends.

I then took the poppies (4 in all) and cut them a few inches from the top and bent them. (I set them aside)

I then attached the bow in the middle of the ferns and filler flowers.

Finally, I attached the flowers.  Two on the top, and two on the bottom and secured them with hot glue.

... It's that easy!

DIY Dollar Store Easter Egg Wreath

How I made my super cheap Easter Egg Wreath made from Dollar Tree eggs.

All I needed was:
-Spanish Moss
-Any cheap plain wreath
-3 packages of eggs from the Dollar Tree
-Green glitter spray paint
-Hot glue gun

Since I only had plain Spanish moss, I used just a dab of glue to place my eggs exactly where I wanted them. But first, I took the wooden sticks from out of the bottom of the eggs.

Next, I started gluing the Spanish moss around the eggs.

Once I was finished gluing the moss around the eggs, I took the eggs off so I could spray paint the moss green without getting paint on the eggs.

Next, I sprayed the wreath with Krylon Glitter Blast.

I then started gluing the eggs into their holes. While gluing them, I noticed the white patches on the bottom of the eggs. It was from taking the sticks out.

I then decided to dethatch the bows from the sticks and hot glued them onto the bottom of the eggs to cover up the white patches.

Here is the finished product! Not too bad for a Dollar store craft!
